Schools have issued warnings to parents, after reports of men taking photographs of children in Larkfield.

More Park Catholic Primary School in Lucks Hill, West Malling sent out an email on Friday, requesting that pupils were picked up at the end of the day directly from their teachers.

The warning came after police were called in to investigate reports of suspicious behaviour in Swallow Road, where Lunsford Primary School and Brookfield Infants are based, earlier that day.

Two men were reported to have been seen taking photographs of children from a BMW.

Officers are continuing to make enquiries, although a police spokesman said there was currently no evidence to suggest that any offences had been committed.

Headteacher at Lunsford Primary, Matt Dechaine, said the school informed the police of reports about the men, which were circulating on social media sites, and had reminded parents to be vigilant.

They asked for children to be reminded about stranger danger.

Tonbridge and Malling district sergeant Ash Boxall said: "We would like to reassure children and parents that we always take all reports of suspicious behaviour very seriously, especially those concerning the welfare and safety of children.

"As always, I would ask staff and parents to remain vigilant and to report anything suspicious to police on 101, or if it is an emergency dial 999."
