A pedestrian has died after being hit by a car near Mereworth.

The accident happened around 6pm yesterday, on the A228 Seven Mile Lane, at the junction with Old Church Road.

A man died at the scene after he was hit by a silver Toyota Auris.

The driver of the car was uninjured.

Police are appealing for anyone who has not yet spoken to them to call 01622 798538, quoting reference DS/GD/274/17.
