Police arrest man after knife brandished in quiet street

A man has been arrested following reports of a small fire and a knife being brandished in a quiet residential street.

A fire engine and police officers attended the incident in Charles Close, Snodland, yesterday at around 7.50pm.

Police arrested a 48-year-old man on suspicion of criminal damage and affray.

A spokesman said: "Kent Police was called to a domestic incident at a private address in Charles Close, Snodland, at 7.55pm on Saturday.

"Officers attended and arrested a 48-year-old man on suspicion of criminal damage and affray."

The man was arrested by police last night.
