A teenager was flown to hospital in a serious condition after being stabbed in the chest.

Emergency crews including the air ambulance were called to Kings Hill tennis courts after reports of a mass brawl.

The fight is said to have broken out among a large group of teenagers - some reportedly carrying knives - at around 2.45pm yesterday (Sunday).

Police have since confirmed a teenage boy was flown to a London hospital with a stab wound to the chest.

His injury was described as serious but not life-threatening. He has since been released from hospital.

The police helicopter was reportedly seen hovering over the Kings Hill, West Malling and Snodland areas for more than an hour.

The air ambulance also landed on the cricket pitch in the village.

Police said the suspect and victim are believed to be known to each other and officers do not believe there is any further risk to members of the public.
