Police descended on Paddock Wood last night after violence erupted in the town.

Officers were first called at 5.20pm after a fight kicked off between a group of people and a man in the Maidstone Road car park, next to Bells Fish Bar.

Then, just before 8pm, a second altercation took place in Mascalls Court Road, which is believed to have involved the same people.
