Police search Meadow Crest Farm in London Road near Addington following 'unexplained' death of man after Kent Horse Fair

Police are continuing to search farmland after a man in his 20s died near Addington.

Officers were called to Meadow Crest Farm in London Road at 9.15pm on Saturday where he was discovered with injuries.

He was taken to hospital but he died a short time later.

The same day, the Kent Horse Fair had been taking place at the site.

Posting on the event's Facebook page, Joe McCarthy, understood to be the organiser, said: "My sincere sympathy and deepest condolences to the family of the man that passed away on Saturday. RIP."

His death is being treated as 'unexplained'.

It's understood the three-day event was cut short while detectives continued their investigation.

A police spokesman said: "The death is currently being treated as unexplained.

"Inquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the incident."
