Traffic was stopped on the M20 this afternoon for emergency repairs.

Vehicles were held on the westbound carriageway after a pothole opened between junction four at Leybourne and Snodland and junction three for the M26.

Emergency repairs were carried out.

Delays remain on the motorway, but the repair work was completed.
