Five fire crews and a British Red Cross emergency support unit were called out when a blaze spread through two stories of a home used as flats.
Firefighters fought the blaze at a two-storey property in Sedley Close, Aylesford from just after 3am today.
It's believed the blaze started in the garage and spread to both floors, causing severe damage.
There were no injuries, but four people needed to be rehoused, and were helped by the Red Cross.
The cause of the fire isn't known.
