The Rocks Road in East Malling is reportedly closed for the night because of a large and growing hole in the carriageway.

KCC already had three potholes in the road on its list awaiting repair, but a fourth has opened up today.

Chloe Woodhams said: "It appeared around 4pm.

She said: "It's in the middle of The Rocks Road.

"There's already a lot of potholes in that road as its quite an old road, but the part where this one is fairly new tarmac.

"The hole's continuing to get bigger, so it was quite dangerous."

KCC says its policy is to repair all potholes that pose a safety hazard within seven days - or within two hours if dangerous.
