East Malling: The Rocks Road remains closed after a sinkhole opened up

By: David Gazet

Published: 15:30, 07 March 2017

The Rocks Road in East Malling is set to remain closed for the rest of the week as workers tackle a large sinkhole.

The crater opened up by the Old Coach House around 4pm on Friday. It's about 1.5ft across, a metre deep and right in the middle of the narrow carriageway.

The road isn't used much by through traffic and residents can still gain access to their homes from each end.
