Tonbridge: Suspected heroin dealer to appear in court

A man suspected of dealing heroin from a flat has been charged and kept in custody.

Plain clothes officers seized 35 wraps believed to contain the Class A drug after entering a property in Bridge Close, Tonbridge, yesterday.

Quantities of cannabis and cash were also seized.

A man has been charged.

James Gabriel, 21, and from Lambeth in London, was arrested and later charged with possessing heroin with intent to supply and for possessing cannabis.

He appeared via virtual link before Medway Magistrates’ Court today and was remanded in custody until his next court appearance.

Stephen Bevan, 53, of Bridge Close, was also arrested at the scene. He was subsequently charged with permitting the use of a premises for the supply of heroin and with the production of cannabis.

He was later bailed to attend Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on August 21.
