Aylesford: Station Road crash sees woman freed from car

A woman had to be cut from her car after a crash in Aylesford this morning.

The driver's vehicle collided with a van on Station Road just before 8am, with paramedics, police and the fire service called to the scene.

One woman was trapped by her injuries and had to be freed from the wreckage by firefighters.

A South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) confirmed the woman was checked over at the scene for a head injury and was taken to Tunbridge Wells hospital for further treatment.

A Kent Police spokesman said officers remain at the scene waiting for a recovery vehicle.
