Police and air ambulance crews called to Kings Hill after woman assaulted

A man has been charged after a serious assault which left a woman needing hospital treatment.

The attack reportedly happened shortly after 11pm on Saturday in Durello Avenue in Kings Hill, and police and paramedics called, as well as the air ambulance.

The woman was driven to King's College Hospital, suffering from chest and leg injuries.

Michael Cottington, 24, of Durello Avenue, has since been charged with GBH, and a further count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm at the same address the previous day.

He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday, where he was remanded in custody to until January, when he will appear at Maidstone Crown Court.
