Crews called to fire in Herman Terrace, Chatham

Fire crews fought a blaze in a basement.

They were called to Herman Terrace in Chatham at 6am.

Two fire engines were sent to the three-storey building to extinguish the fire, which is thought to have been started due to an electrical fault within a circuit board.

Firefighters used breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet and a fog spike while tackling the flames.

There were no reported injuries.
