Air ambulance called to Wakeley Road, Rainham, as man taken to hospital

A man has been taken to hospital following a medical incident.

An air ambulance landed on Rainham Rec, off Station Road, Rainham, while a police cordon was put in place in Wakeley Road at around 8am.

A police spokesman said officers attended to assist South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) with the incident.

Officers enforced a road closure, which had been lifted by around 9.30am.

The spokesman said it was a "medical incident" but no further details have been released.

A witness said there was an ambulance outside a house in Wakeley Road alongside one police car and two paramedic vehicles.
