An autistic teenager who went missing yesterday has been found 'safe and well'.

Police launched an appeal to find 17-year-old Jamie Brooker after he went missing on Sunday.

He went for a walk alone from his home in Belmont Road, Gillingham, at 8pm and did not return.

In its appeal, Kent Police said the teenager was 'particularly vulnerable due to the fact he is autistic'.

It also said: “His family says he is most likely to still be walking, six hours after leaving home, and although he is safe to be approached, he would be nervous around people.”
