Floral arrangements celebrating the work of Dean Samuel Reynolds Hole are on display
in Rochester.

Dean Hole was a late 19th and early 20th century county squire, curator and rose grower.

He became Dean of Rochester in 1887 and died in August 1904.

The floral arrangements, which can been seen in Rochester Cathedral’s Crypt, have taken inspiration from items in the cathedral’s collection.

The exhibition, Holey Roses, runs until Sunday, in the Ithamar Chapel, open from
10am until 3.30pm.

A free talk about Dean Hole will take place on Saturday at 10.30am. Booking is essential. Donations are welcome.
