At around 1pm yesterday (March 11), it is alleged the man grabbed the victim’s handbag.

The pensioner kept hold of it until the woman punched her face. Both suspects then ran from the scene with the victim’s property.

At around 4pm the same day, officers arrested a 24-year-old man from London and a 21-year-old woman from Tunbridge Wells in connection with the incident.

They remain in custody while inquiries continue.
