Biker airlifted to hospital after smash

A motorcyclist has been airlifted to a London hospital after being involved in a crash in Magpie Hall Road, Chatham.

Accident

The rider, who has not been named, suffered life-threatening injuries just before 2.10pm, close to All Saints School. The road has been cordoned-off by police.

A spokesman for Medway Police, said: "We were called just before 2.10pm following reports of an accident.

"No other vehicles are believed to be involved.

"The male has been taken via air ambulance to Royal London Hospital with serious injuries.

"A female passenger on the bike was also involved, she has been taken to Medway Maritime hospital, her injuries are not thought to be life threatening."
