An inquest has been opened into the death of a motorcyclist killed in a crash in Rainham a fortnight ago.

Grant Ward, 45, of Walsingham Close, Parkwood, was killed in a three-vehicle collision at the junction of Mierscourt Road and Lonsdale Drive in Rainham at 11.45am on Saturday, May 30.
Mr Ward suffered severe head injuries and was airlifted to King’s College Hospital in London, where he died.
A 41-year-old man who was a passenger on the bike was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital with a fractured pelvis.
The inquest into Mr Ward’s death was opened and adjourned on Thursday afternoon . The incident was the second fatal motorbike accident in less than a year in Mierscourt Road.
It took place just days before the first anniversary of the death of Michael Frazer, 50, of Ploughmans Way, Rainham.
His death has led to calls for traffic calming measures to be put in place.
