Boy in hospital after 12ft fall in Twydall

A teenage boy has been taken to hospital after falling from a 12ft height in Twydall.

The 13-year-old boy was believed to be on the roof of a shop in Twydall Lane when the accident occurred around 8pm yesterday (Thursday)

Ambulance crews and police arrived on the scene shortly after.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: "We were contacted by South East Coast Ambulance Service at 8.15pm following reports that a 13-year-old boy had fallen from a 12ft wall in Twydall Lane, Gillingham.

!He was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital."

It is believed that the boy has since been moved to a London hospital for treatment. It is not known how serious his injuries are.

Police are not treating the incident as suspicious.
