Boy injured in road in Fridsbury

A young boy was injured after being hit by a car in Frindsbury, Strood, yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon.

The 11-year-old, who has not been named, is thought to have ran out in front of the car from behind a bus, close to Murray Road, on Frindsbury Hill.

Police were called to Murray Road at 3.53pm. A spokesman confirmed he had been struck by the car.

The boy was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital by ambulance with slight injuries.

The road was closed but re-opened about 5pm.
