A broken down lorry caused major delays at the Wainscott bypass.

Police confirmed it happened at arouind 4.40pm as the vehicle was travelling towards Chatham.

Officers are at the scene while the vehicle is being recovered and although the road remained open there were lengthy delays leading up to the junction.

It is understood traffic was moving freely by around 7.15pm.
