A brutal killer’s online blog, in which he boasted of his happy new love life, is being investigated.

David Ferguson is serving a life sentence for the murder of Susan Kent. The mother of two was found stabbed to death at her home in Birch Grove, Hempstead, on November 24, 1999.

That didn’t deter his new love Carol Nash and the pair got married at HMP Wakefield, West Yorkshire, at the end of August.

As reported on KentOnline, Ferguson wrote about his happiness on a blog.

The 45-year-old announced the date of his marriage on the site, and also news of his proposal in 2013 in which he wrote: “I proposed to my beautiful partner Carol and I am very proud to say that she said ‘yes’. We are both blissfully happy.”

MP for Gillingham and Rainham, Rehman Chishti, said: “Such comments published on the prisoner’s blog can be extremely distressing to the victim’s family.

"The government has a clear policy banning prisoners’ accessing social networking sites, there should be greater clarity on what material prisoners are allowed to publish.

“I have asked the Ministry of Justice to investigate this matter.”

An MoJ spokesman added: “Prisoners are banned from accessing the internet or social networking sites. Where sites are being operated by third parties, on behalf of or claiming to be prisoners, we will work with internet operators to shut them down where necessary.

“Prisoners found to be using the internet can be stripped of their privileges and have time added to their sentence.”

Ferguson has always maintained his innocence.

During his trial, it emerged the print worker had an interest in bondage and rape and had discussed on the internet setting up a UK Rape Club.

In two reviews since he was jailed, prison boards found that Ferguson is “highly dangerous” and should be kept as a top security prisoner.

He and his new wife started off as prison pen pals and have been “together” for six years. He also wrote on the blog: “Prison can never be an ideal setting for such a special event but making our commitment to each other official is what matters to us.

"On a personal note I just wish to say that I feel blessed to have someone as amazing as Carol agree to commit to me as she has.”

She wrote back: “I will be waiting at those gates, ready to begin our ‘Happy Ever After’.”
