A lane has been blocked by police following a traffic collision near a busy roundabout and shopping centre.

A black BMW has crashed into the central reservation in Maritime Way, near Chatham Dockside, towards the Medway Tunnel.

Police and fire crews were called to the scene at around 11.50am this morning.

A man received medical attention at the scene to a minor injury.

A witness reported that the airbags have been triggered and the front of the vehicle has crashed into a tree.

Police have blocked off part of one lane with cones.

Police confirmed arrangements are underway to recover the vehicle.
