Firefighters called to car fire on M2 J3 Chatham slip road

Firefighters were called to a busy motorway slip road this afternoon after a car caught alight.

Crews from Rochester and Strood fire stations were called to the M2 J3 coast-bound slip road for Chatham at 2.13pm after a black Land Rover caught alight.

The blaze is thought to have been caused by an electrical fault in the engine.

The car was destroyed in the fire.

Crews left the scene at 3pm.
