A woman was taken to hospital after her car overturned on a dual carriageway in Gillingham this morning.

The crash, which happened at about 8.40am, closed one lane of Ito Way for about an hour.

The woman is though to have suffered only minor injuries in the incident, which caused delays for commuters. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "One person sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital.

"One lane was closed to allow emergency services to deal with the incident and for the vehicle to be recovered. The road was all clear by 9.40am."
