Another store is set to leave a retail park in Chatham.

A sign has been put up outside Carpetright in Horsted Retail Park in Maidstone Road, saying the store is moving this October.

In April, the firm announced it would be closing 92 stores across the country which included the one in Strood.

A notice on the website says it will be moving on October 6.

The sign outside the shop, which is neighboured by Pets at Home and Currys PC World, advises customers to visit their nearest store in Gillingham Retail Park or South Aylesford.

Earlier this year Toys R Us, which is also part of the shopping area, closed its doors for the final time.

Planning permission was granted to Royal London to build an Aldi and KFC in the car park.

Developers are carrying out due diligence on the scheme but an update is expected soon.
