NSPCC makes plea for new tree for its centre in Gillingham

Staff at the NSPCC are appealing for some help to brighten Christmastime for youngsters who have been abused.

The charity’s base in West Street, Gillingham, which supports children from all over Kent is hoping to replace its rather sorry-looking Christmas tree.

It is broken and now stands leaning in a bucket.

The centre runs therapy sessions for children who have been abused. The tree is in the reception area where the youngsters wait for their appointments.

The charity is hoping a firm or individual can replace the tree in time for Christmas to help make the waiting area look a bit more festive.
