Chatham boss Paul Foley says he's not worried by his club’s dismal record against Sittingbourne as the teams meet in a re-arranged Ryman League Division 1 South game at Maidstone Road on Saturday.

They haven’t beaten the Brickies since Boxing Day 2003 but it’s something Foley is unconcerned about.

Foley(pictured top) said: "I’m not fussed by that all and have no connection with any ‘history’ between the sides over the last few seasons.

"We lost there 2-0 last month but played with 10 men for most of the game.

"It’s a different side now and I’m sure we will be better for that."

Foley described the 3-1 Championship Manager Cup extra-time defeat at Concord Rangers on Tuesday night as "probably our best performance of the season."

Gary Abbott

Leroy Huggins scored on his debut after signing from Erith Town. He has been reunited with his former VCD boss Foley, who has also brought Ray Powell back to the club.

Sittingbourne will be looking to extend their remarkable run against Chatham but Abbott knows their rivals will be going all out to bring it to an end.

Abbott (pictured bottom) said: "It will be tough because we only beat them a month ago and they’re going to want to stop this run.

"We are confident having won back-to-back games and I’m sure we can get the three points.

Abbott fielded a mixture of first-teamers and fringe players as Bourne beat Faversham 2-0 in the second round of the Championship Manager Cup on Tuesday in a game which doubled as the Bob Amor Trophy. Ryan Golding got both goals .

He said: "The league is our priority but a win is a win, no matter what competition and it’s always nice to beat your local rivals."
