Two car crash in Capstone Road, Chatham

Firefighters cut the roof off a car to free a woman following a crash on rural road in Chatham.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Capstone Road following reports of the collision at around 4.30pm.

Two vehicles were believed to have collided resulting in one of the occupants being trapped.

She was freed by firefighters using hydraulic equipment and paramedics transferred her to an ambulance and took her to hospital. Her condition is not known.

As a result the road was closed between Ash Tree Lane and Pear Tree Lane and Ham Lane and Lidsing Road and did not reopen until around 8.30pm.
