Firefighters were called to the A2 after a BMW caught fire on the coast-bound carriageway this morning.

Two pumps from Dartford attended the scene, between the Bluewater and M25 junctions, having been called at 6.17am, and extinguished the blaze within ten minutes.

It is not thought anyone was injured.
