Crews called to grass alight

Firefighters from Medway and Sittingbourne are at the scene of a blaze in scrubland in Gillingham.
Three hectares of grass have been reported alight after crews were called just before 5pm this evening (Friday).
The fire has been described as 'deep seated' by crews on the site, at sewage works on the junction of Motney Hill Road and Lower Rainham Road, in Gillingham.
Crews from Medway, Gillingham, Rainham and Sittingbourne are involved, using three hose reels, beaters, a hydrant and a water shuttle to tackle the blaze.
No injuries have been reported. It is unclear how the fire started.
