Boy cut out car after five vehicle crash on the M2 between Strood and Chatham

A boy had to be cut out of a car after a five vehicle crash last night.

The 14-year-old was in the back of a car during the incident on the M2 between J2 for the A228 for Strood and Rochester and J3 for the A229 for Chatham and Rochester.

The teen was arrested yesterday.

Firefighters from Medway and Strood set to work cutting him our the car at around 9pm, and he was taken to hospital by ambulance for possible neck injuries.

One of the crew attending said: "Everybody else escapes without any injuries.

"All four lanes were closed for a while and then two were opened up.

"It caused big tailbacks for people."
