Southeastern train delays at Gillingham and Chatham prompt twitter complaints

Medway commuters have been delayed this morning due to signalling problems.

Services between Dover Priory and London Victoria via Gillingham and Ramsgate and London Victoria via Chatham have been affected.

It is down to earlier signalling problems at Sittingbourne.

Services have cancelled earlier this morning and trains are still delayed by up to 30 minutes. According to Southeastern disruption is expected until 10am.

Rochester MP Mark Reckless re-tweeted a moan from one commuter this morning.

Naushabah Khan, Rochester and Strood Labour parliamentary candidate, tweeted: “Pretty painful journey on @Se_Railway trains this morning. If you have the option of riding on horseback take it - you’ll get there quicker.”
