House goes up in flames in Upper Luton Road, Chatham and is almost destroyed by the flames.

Firefighters spent almost three hours putting out a fire in a derelict house in Upper Luton Road last night.

Three appliances were sent out to the property at about 11.55pm and found it well alight.

People living in the area said the flames from the blaze produced a lot of smoke in and crews said the property was almost destroyed by the flames.

The cause of the fire is not yet known but crews said they did not think there was any suspicious circumstances surrounding the blaze.
