Police called to disturbance after travellers move on to Medway Valley Park

Police were called to reports of a disturbance after travellers moved on to a leisure park yesterday.

Officers were called to Medway Valley Park in Strood, at around 6.20pm following reports of anti-social behaviour at the complex.

Witnesses reported seeing restaurant staff threatened and a number of people causing trouble at the site.

The A228 Roundabout at the entrance to Medway Valley Park and Medway Gate estate.

Police confirmed patrols attended the area and spoke to a number of people.

Officers were called back to further disturbances later that night.

Police say no criminal offences were disclosed and nobody was arrested, but it is believed the travellers are being ordered to move from the site this morning.
