Driver sits on car roof in protest after being stopped by police in Chatham

A driver had a "momentary strop" after being stopped by police for having no insurance.

Cops posted a photo of the motorist sitting on the roof of his car in protest.

The vehicle was stopped in Chatham in the early hours of today (Tuesday) (Jan 24) and seized by officers.

Police posted on Twitter: "Driver known to be uninsured very active in the Medway towns over night.

"Vehicle stopped in #Chatham. He wasn’t too happy that his vehicle was being seized and had a momentary strop.

"Finally saw sense and came down - vehicle seized and driver reported for offences."

The man's face was hidden by a smiling emoji.

A Kent Police spokeswoman confirmed: "The driver was issued with a traffic offence report and the vehicle was seized for no insurance."
