M2 drug driver suspect pulled over by police after speeding at 94mph

A suspected drug driver clocked at 94mph on a motorway in Kent has been arrested.

Police were on patrol along the M2 near the Medway junctions when they spotted the driver reportedly speeding.

A 28-year-old man from Clacton-on-Sea in Essex was pulled over on the sliproad at junction 5 for Sittingbourne at 10.25am yesterday after allegedly driving at high speed.

Officers from the Kent Special Constabulary made the arrest.

Tbe suspect reportedly failed a roadside drugs test and was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs and speeding.

A police spokesman said he has been released pending further inquiries.

Police later tweeted saying they had stopped another driver at 3.24pm travelling at 91mph.
