A family were left spooked when they heard the voice of a "ghost" on a video taken during a day out.

According to The Sun newspaper, Sarah Mackessy, from Rochester, filmed her kids during a day out at The Enchanted Forest nature reserve in Tunbridge Wells.

The voice which groans "I’m alive" can be heard as Sarah focuses in on her eight-week-old son Mack while the rest of the family play nearby.

Speaking to The Sun she said: "The only people around at the time were my partner and the two children who were about 10ft from me..

"The ghostly voice sounds as though it is directly next to me and is very loud and clear on the video."

Mrs Mackessy, 36, and her partner Darren Dand, 38, are said to have scoured the internet for a clue as to what the voice was but have come up with nothing.

She added: "I’ve got no idea what it could have been.

"It was so clear, it sounded like there was something right next to me. But the closest people were my partner and kids, it’s a mystery.

"Maybe the forest really is enchanted."
