Man in his 30s found dead after emergency services and forensics called to Henry Street, Chatham

A man in his 30s has been found dead in a residential street.

Police cars, a fire engine, an ambulance and two forensic vans were spotted in Henry Street at around 9.15am.

Emergency services have been seen in Henry Street, Chatham, this morning

Officers say they were called following concerns for the welfare of a man in the Luton Road area.

A man in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene, they said.

Neighbours have spotted police cars, ambulances, forensic vans, and ambulances at the scene

A police cordon has been put up blocking access to Henry Street from Castle Road and all surrounding alleyways.

Fire crews were seen carrying out a stretcher at around 2pm and officers began to remove the cordon at 2.15pm.

A spokesman for the fire service said they were was called at 11.50am today to assist Police in Henry Street, Chatham and one fire engine attended.

Emergency services started to leave the scene at around 2.20pm.

A spokesman for Kent Police said the death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
