Emergency crews were called after a man was assaulted in Gillingham last night.

Police were called to Balmoral Gardens, Gillingham, after reports of an assault.

The attack is reported to have happened between 7.15 and 7.35pm.

Officers attended with paramedics and the air ambulance, and the victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Enquiries into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing.
