Channel 4 The Undateables visit G.Beatz Nightclub in Gillingham looking for people for the show

Controversial reality television show, The Undateables, is coming to Medway tonight in the hopes of finding people to take part in their new series.

The Channel 4 programme follows people who have disabilities or learning difficulties on dates.

The crew are heading to G.Beatz Nightclub to speak to potential applicants.

The club night at The Factory bar at Priestfield Stadium is for adults with learning disabilities.

Organiser Grace Allen from Wigmore said: “They’re coming down just to chat to people. We’ve had a big response.”

She set up G.Beatz after her 19-year-old foster brother, Steven, struggled to find places to go. She said the pair watch The Undateables together and the programme gives him confidence he can have a relationship too.

In 2015, Alex Martin, from Halling, who has autism won viewers’ hearts when he went on the show and found love. But sadly, the pair split up earlier this year.
