Hordes of fans greet X Factor boy band Union J when they visit kmfm on Medway City Estate, Strood

Screaming fans greeted boy band Union J when they visited the kmfm studios this evening.

The boy band, who shot to fame after appearing on The X Factor in 2012, are appearing on kmfm's Drivetime with Olivia Jones.

Josh Cuthbert, JJ Hamblett, Jaymi Hensley and George Shelley are famous for their debut single Carry You, released in June last year.

Three fans waited 14 hours to meet the group, after arriving at 4am. They were joined at 9am by five other girls from the same school.

By 5pm there were nearly 70 fans patiently waiting outside for the boys.

Union J have visited kmfm before and will be back with Christmas With The Stars

Their next single, Tonight (We Live Forever), will be released on August 17.

The group's second album is due out later this year.
