Firefighters called to chimney fire on B2000, Cliffe

Firefighters were called to a chimney blaze near Cliffe last night.
A crew was called to the B2000, Lower Rochester Road, at 8pm.
The fire started in the oak lintel behind the fireplace and after firefighters put out the fire, they made sure the house was safe.
They left the scene at 10pm.
