Two car crash at junction of Pattens Lane, Maidstone Road, and Walderslade Road in Chatham

Two people were pulled from a car wreck by firefighters after a crash involving two vehicles.

Two fire engines, police and paramedics rushed to the junction of Walderslade Road, Maidstone Road, and Pattens Lane in Chatham between 7.10pm and 7.30pm yesterday.

Crews used hydraulic rescue equipment to release a casualty from one of the vehicles.

A second victim was also released and both were passed into the care of SECAmb, however, only one minor injury was reported.

The road, outside St Stephen's Church, remained closed until shortly before 10.30pm.
