A busy road has been partially closed after a four car crash.

Police were called at 7.23am to Luton Road, Chatham when the male driver of a purple Ford Fusion smashed into three stationary vehicles.

SECAmb were also called to the scene, but have not yet responded to the Messenger's inquiries over injuries.

The other cars involved were a Jaguar, a Volkswagen Passat and a Volkswagen Golf.

The car was blocking the road by Luton Junior School, while arrangements were made for it to be removed.

The road was reopened at 8.43am.
