A 15-year-old girl was arrested over an alleged attack on a teenage boy.

Police were called to Toronto Road, Gillingham, just after 8am yesterday.

A spokeswoman for Kent Police said: "A 15-year-old girl has been arrested in connection with the incident. The victim was taken to a local hospital, this was thought to be as a precaution."

The 13-year-old boy was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital for treatment by South East Coast Ambulance crews.

The girl has now been bailed until September 2, pending further inquiries.
