Paris, who has never been home alone with mum she when has an episode, quickly went to her aid and tried to break her fall.

The quick-thinking youngster, who is only four, called her grandmother, Karen to raise the alarm.

Her actions have prompted South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Trust staff to praise her efforts.

Her grandmother, Karen said: “Paris was very brave she told me that mummy had fallen and that she couldn’t wake her up.

“I then got on to another phone and called 999 immediately.”

Medway ambulance staff Ken Wallace and Chris Billett, who responded to the emergency, were keen to see Paris recognised for her bravery.

Ken added: “When we arrived we found Paris with her mother, who was 36-weeks pregnant at the time.

“Paris did very well to raise the alarm and get the help her mum needed.

“Her family should be very proud of her.

“This clearly highlights how important it is for parents to teach their children what they need to do in an emergency.”

Her mum was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital where she stayed for a few days as a precaution.

A week later she gave birth to a baby boy, Tyrese.

Karen added: “We are immensely proud of Paris.

“This affected her for quite a while afterwards and it is so lovely that the ambulance service has recognised what she did on that day for her mum.”

Paris will meet the ambulance crew who have praised her at Medway Ambulance station on Monday afternoon (Jan 18.
