Coronavirus Kent: Gillingham-moored Medway Queen warship is still viewable to the public thanks to virtual tours

People can still take a trip around a wartime ship throughout the coronavirus pandemic thanks to a virtual online tour.

The Medway Queen Preservation Society has decided not to take the Gillingham-based warship to Ramsgate this year to mark the anniversary of Dunkirk.

The Medway Queen at Gillingham Pier is offering free virtual tours

After following government guidelines, the ship has closed to visitors, but thanks to the boat's first virtual tour going live today, you can still look on board the historic vessel.

The Medway Queen – Memories of Dunkirk book in support of the 80th anniversary has been published as planned, with all proceeds going to the ship.
